Mindful Toddlers (Part 1)

This two-part workshop offers opportunities to discover, learn, grow, and find connection in a supportive space. There will be hands on activities for the toddlers to learn about mindfulness while parents/caregivers will practice ways to engage with children that encourage a calmer and more conscious way of parenting. This group gathering will explore how mindfulness can help both toddlers and parents to better manage stress, be aware of things as they are vs how we might want them to be, and to be more mindful in difficult moments. With the toddlers and caregivers, we will incorporate activities for both the adult and child to learn about what mindfulness is and find ways to practice it in everyday life.

Classes are based upon the work of Jon Kabat Zinn’s MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction), Susan Bögels and Joke Hellemans Mindful Parenting, and Mindful With Your Baby research of Eva Potharst.
