Tiny Home Ec (3 wk series)

In this three part series, each class engages in an open-ended playtime with a focus on understanding responsibility and teamwork in the home. Toddlers aged 2-4 are welcome to explore their role in the family and what they can do to help out. Be prepared to get a little messy as we wash the laundry and set the table, maybe even share a snack together!

Class one: Tidy up!

In this introduction to Tiny Home Ec, we will discover new ways to help out and have fun doing so. Your child can try their hand at sorting, washing, drying & dusting. Each participant will take home their own essential oil spray for tidying up at home!

Class Two: What's for dinner?

In this class centered around the family meal, we will choose our recipes, shop, prep & serve. We will all be encouraged to tidy up after a snack. Each participant will take home a place mat & reusable utensils to encourage their involvement at meal times. *allergen-friendly & vegan

Class Three: Don't throw it, fix it!

So many of our belongings could have a new life, if we just knew how to mend & repair. In this class, we will put our hammers to the test and build a structure, work our fine motors with sewing and weaving as well as an electronic demonstration. Each participant will take home a hand-made sewing card kit.
